Costa Rican cuisine is known for its traditional dishes.
Among them is this delicious recipe, chorreadas or arepas are like pancakes made from corn. They are accompanied by white cheese and sour cream .
They are delicious to enjoy anytime but there is nothing better than eating in the afternoon with a cup of coffee.
So I invite you to enjoy the delicious Costa Rican tradition.
INGREDIENTS
3 cans of sweet corn
2/3 cup milk
24 tablespoons flour
12 tablespoons of sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt
sour cream to taste
queso blanco to taste
DIRECTIONS
Place all ingredients in blender.
Blend to a paste, it should not be very liquid.
Place tablespoons of mixture into hot skillet and cook for 5 minutes each side or until golden.
Remove from heat.
Serve with sour cream and cheese.
This recipe makes 14 units.

These look really yummy…. I can’t seem to remember if I had these when I was in Costa Rica as it was years ago but if I didn’t then I totally feel like I am missing out!
