Strawberry Pound Cake #TwelveLoaves

strawberry pound cakeI’m so happy to be back and baked in this group, it fell really good.
And this month we are baking with my daughter favorite fruit, Strawberry, oh my all the possibilities the you can make with this fruit is just perfect for anything.
I made a pound cake, classic and delicious, perfect for a rainy or snowy afternoon; if thats the case, and of course you can eat it just like that it is the most fabulous and easy cake you can make.
I hope you make it and love it just as much as my family do.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups of chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl sift flour, baking powder and salt, sit aside.
  3. In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment cream sugar and butter for 5 minutes, add eggs one by one, mix vanilla with milk and start adding dry ingredients with wet ingredients in 3 additions, starting with dry and finishing with dry.
  4. Then add by hand the strawberries, be very careful and incorporate well.
  5. Pour the batter in 2 loaf pans equally distributed.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, once bake let cool for 20 minutes take out of the pan and place on a rack to cool completely.

This recipe makes 2 small pound cakes.

Cooking time: 1 hour
