I have been using this wonderful coffee maker for a while and is the best thing ever, it makes delicious coffee and is so easy to use. I, personality love the looks and the different way to brew my coffee every morning and afternoon.

Yep, I drink coffee multiple times a day, especially on my very busy days, I also like how easy it is to clean and it can keep my coffee warm for a good amount of time.

It doesn’t take lots of space and the set up is very simple, my coffee is richer, bolder and just perfect. You must look for it and change the way of coffee, I’m sure you’ll love it as much as me.

A HAPPY CELEBRATION

DSC_0789I am very happy to share with you this special moment.
Last Monday we celebrated the birthday of our baby, for us is still a baby and already has 4 years.
It was a very intimate celebration and she asked me to make the cake with pink frosting and flowers.
Children grow so fast that we have to enjoy every moment beside them.
And to my precious baby I can not wait to see you grow even more.
I love you.

A SHORT BREAK

We started the month of December and it comes with a lot of commitments, I take a moment to tell you that I will be on vacation but I’ll be back soon.
I’m going to Costa Rica to be filled with much more inspiration to share with you delicious recipes. From now I wish you a very happy holiday season and remember to share with your loved ones of delicious moments.

A GREAT FIND

I cannot help but share with you this great find.
I went to my local supermarket to buy some things I needed for dinner, when in one of the aisles I found something very familiar to me.
You will see as I have said before I am from Costa Rica and since I live here in San Diego I had a hard time finding some characteristic products of my country, well, today was different to my surprise I found that black beans are also common in my country.
You cannot imagine the happy face I had to see the package, don’t get me wrong I’m very happy to be here, but occasionally I miss my country and seeing today those black beans was amazing for me. And you know what I did right? I buy a lot of them.
Believe me exciting moment for me.

A TASTE OF LITTLE ITALY IN SAN DIEGO

In the heart of the finest city in America is a piece of Italy, full of exotic flavors, unique in its class.
On Wednesday June 20th, took place The Taste Of Little Italy, with the best in dining, entertainment and a great atmosphere.
Around 30 restaurants opened their doors so you could taste the variety that every day serve their customers with great pride and passion.
In Little Italy we find a variety of flavors, we ate pizza and pasta, very tasty indeed, but also we took a small detour in South America, we find an amazing Argentinian restaurant (Puerto la Boca) with the best beef and chimichurri we tested, also the most delicious ceviche we tasted in the Peruvian restaurant (Indigo Grill).
The fusion food, frozen yogurt, coffee shops, also were present, the most prestigious Italian restaurants, proving once again that this is one of the best streets to awaken your palate to the most incredible meals. Seeing how night approached, I ran with incredible characters, markets and butcher shops that can not fail to be absent from this beautiful place.
I invite you to come to San Diego and visit the not so small Litlle Italy, full of variety, kindness, warmth and good food served with great pleasure day by day.

OUR FIRST CAMPING TRIP

Starting our week of Spring Break, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to go camping for the first time. When I say the first time, is because it is, not because we dint not  wanted to but because we had not taken the decision to do so.
Well we went and bought what we thought was necessary for those days, food, tent, sleeping bags, portable kitchen, eating utensils, etc.
We reached the place and the first thing we saw was a bunch of RV’s and I told my husband, “maybe we are not well prepared.” We started preparing the tent and take things out very proud that we had bought for the trip. Our first night was beautiful, it was very cold, we roast marsmellows the girls ate and went to bed an hour I think very inconvenient, it was only 9 pm, my husband and I took advantage and try to see it as an excellent time to be alone and talk. That first night was magical until it was time to sleep. We went to bed without realizing that there were countless rocks under the tent and was impossible to move, not buy an inflatable mattress never occurred to us.

The next morning we woke up sore and hungry, was 7 in the morning. We decided to start our day so we had breakfast and went for a walk. Beautiful place we went an impressive sight. We were very happy and had a wonderful day, the girls played with stones and even leave a few carrots for rabbits. It was a beautiful experience, and definitely do it again, only next time maybe buy a mattress and bring more blankets and pillows to be more comfortable.

SUSHI NIGHT

Our daughters are craving some sushi.
That’s not a huge surprise for me because they really love it, and let me tell you 1 roll it’s not enough for them.
So every time that we go to eat we order 6 or 8 roll, and I think is to much.
Well it doesn’t mater at the end they are happy and my husband and I too, theres nothing more important to us the see our lovely daughters happy and full.
Our sushi night was a success.

READY FOR SPRING

Spring is coming and this season is special to start planting.

I started to create my small garden this time I decided to plant herbs that I use constantly in the kitchen, basil, cilantro, oregano and thyme.

Fresh and delicious flavors that are a must in my home.

They are precious and every day I follow the advice of my grandmother, plants are living things and we must show love and talk so that they grow big and strong.

At first it’s weird but now even my daughters help and greet in the mornings. It is very important to have fresh, quality products and what better way to plant them yourself.

Make your own garden, I recommend it.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

On Saturday we celebrated the birthday of our baby, it’s not quite a baby, turned 3 years and was a special day for her, as it should.

I gave myself the task of making the birthday cake with a little help, I did the best I could with the cake for my daughter, keep in mind that I’m not a pastry chef making it an even bigger challenge.

Finally decorate this cake was very simple, filled with dulce de leche and fondant and decorated with flowers.

I am very happy and proud because she was delighted with the cake and although I wanted to make the decoration of the Beauty and the Beast, at least in its day she saw the love and the great effort to make her feel special.

I love you my beautiful Nathalie, this is a bit of how much you mean to me.
