The #BOOitForward DIY Halloween Package #ad #CollectiveBias

I’m so exited my favorite time of the year is almost here, and this year my family and I are making a very fun and different way to celebrate with our families and friends. And todays idea is perfect to give to your neighbors, because nothing say Happy Halloween like a personal and fun craft.

So let me walk you in this super easy process, the first step is to go to your nearest Walmart and buy all the materials needed. I personally recommend the MARS® chocolates, and the soda brand 7UP® and Sunkist®, then you can shop around by the decoration for Halloween section, where you will find these products and beautiful bags or boxes for this project.

I found in this section, these cute boxes with bags, which seemed perfect because they where the perfect size for my super cute monster can and some chocolates, of course don’t forget about the Printable “We’ve Been BOO’D”, you can find this fun and easy to follow printable here at BOO CENTER, where you can print your own is super easy just follow the instructions. Save $1.00 on TWO (2) 2L or 6pk 8oz cans of any flavor Sunkist® Soda, 7UP®, Canada Dry®, A&W®, Squirt®, or Sun Drop®

  • Cut out this “We’ve been BOO’d” sign.
  • Fold the “You’ve been BOO’d” greeting card (page 2) and tape openings together.
  • Include the card and sign when gifting BOO bundles.

For your craft, well I used the pumpkin boxes, and I add one monster can, some candy and the We’ve been Boo’d card and my daughters and I went to my friend’s house Dulce and left the goodies, at this point I don’t think she know who left the “You’ve been BOO’d” card but I’m sure they enjoy all the candy and sodas we place in there from door. I just hope they had fun just like we did.

Sweet Merienda Moments DIY #FunSizeMerienda #CollectiveBias #ad

For those who are foreign to the Merienda term,  is a specific time of day where we shared with family some quality and use it to make it more educational and to connect with our kids and have some necessary dialogues enjoying a delicious merienda, coffee, tea, soda or other.
In the Latino culture this is very common, and it is a tradition that is passed from generation to generation.
For me, living in the United States, it has been even more important that my children learn and continue with these traditions.
In Costa Rica, we meet at 3 pm at the home of a family member, to eat, drink coffee and share with the family, is a way to have some conversations with our grandparents and Lear even more about what life was for them in the early years, it takes us about an hour or until the bread is finished.
In my house as my daughters do not drink coffee, I created a different way of sharing this moment of the day, which is to incorporate a craft they want to do.

In this case we made a DYI Merienda schedule for the back to school, and we incorporated this idea using Fun Size MARS Chocolates. Because everything is better with chocolate.

materials #FunSizeMerienda

This is the list of materials you need:

  • Markers
  • 2 Sheets of Construction paper (white)
  • Glue
  • 10 Mini Springs
  • Candy
  • Stickers

This is very simple, is a craft for the kids to use their imagination so let them be very creative. With the markers write the days of the week, do not include the weekend, divide each column, them add glue to place the springs in each column, and let them pick the candy to add to the schedule. They can use stickers just to place the first letter of the day of the week. Very important to add their name and if they want make some decorations.

Craft #FunSizeMerienda

What I love of this craft is the we spend a lot of time together and at the same time eat some chocolate, specially the Fun Size MARS Chocolates; These chocolates are perfect for any time of the day but special for a sweet merienda moment.
You can find MARS chocolates at your local Walmart  and to make it easy here are some pictures for you to know the aisle where is located.

Our traditions and family moments are very important to us, and I want to know what are your traditions while the Merienda time, whats your favorite time of the day to have Merienda and what’s your favorite thing to do?
Leve me a comment I would love to hear from you.

Yes this is me, completely impatient and desperate, when I’m hungry it is very difficult for me to be patient.

#WhenImHungry
The worst part?
My family gets very scared, which is funny, don’t you think?
Ok, now let me tell you my story.
I’m a happy and busy mom, it is always errands, school, house work and more, and some times lunch is not an option for me.
Those are the moments when I’m another person, completely different, grumpy, with a long face, and cranky.

#WhenImHungry 3

One day a girlfriend saw me like that and she told me; You are not you, when you are hungry! and I was shocked, that was a crazy thing, and I needded a solution fast, not only was I making my family afraid of me, :), but I was feelling weak and desperate.

SNICKERS at the Dollar Tree

Luckily, I live close to a Dollar Tree Store and I found delicious SNICKERS® Almond and Peanut Butter Squares, Oh my! that was the answer to my desperately fainting moment.

As you can see now, I fell more relax, happy and completely in a glorious moment, I carry my SNICKERS® everywhere, always in my purse, I don’t want to feel lost, angry and desperate again.
Definitely you have to try it, it really works, being hungry is not funny, and when you are running all day, you need a good delicious bar like SNICKERS® to keep you moving.
Lots of energy from a great bar like that.

#WhenImHungry 2

Now my family is happy with me all the time, and we enjoy together only happy moments, no more grumpy mummy, it is all fun and laughs, but when I feel my tummy grumble, I grab my purse and find my SNICKERS® and eat it, like I said before I don’t want my hubby to call me Grumpy again.

And know I want to heard your story, I want to know Who Are You When You Are Hungry?
