Orange Chocolate Bundt Cake #BundtBakers

orange chocolate bundt cakeI’m so exited to be back to this group, this is a theme the I really love because my family enjoy so much when I made bundt cakes, the at least once a month I made one.
And this month of course we needed to create a bundt full of chocolate and love, well let me tell you a little secret, I prefer chocolate chunks or chips in the cake than the hold chocolate cake.
We think is more fun that way, and this is my inspiration for this bundt, the perfect combination of orange and chocolate, little pieces of chocolate the melts in the citrus delicious flavor of the orange, so good with my coffee right now.
Ok sorry about that, I needed to take a bite out of my cake, so good, that am sure you are going to be all over this bundt after you make it.
And of course, the other delicious, bundts the my friends made to inspired you.
Put on your apron and start mixing, the kitchen is waiting for you.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups AP flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 stick butter at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 6 onzes semisweet chocolate chunks mince

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, then add the orange zest.
  3. In other bowl or stand mixer, cream sugar and butter for 5 minutes, then add the eggs one by one and vanilla extract, mix for 2 minutes.
  4. Start adding dry ingredients alternating with the orange juice mix with buttermilk, mix just to incorporate, add the pieces of chocolate by hand, trying to mix the chocolate in  the cake.
  5. Place the mixture on a grease bundt pan and bake for 1 hour.

Yields one bundt cake.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup AP flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup nutella
  • 1/2 cup dry cranberries
  • 1 stick unsalted softened butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer cream butter and sugar , add cranberries, nuts, nutella and flour mixed with the baking powder, mix for 2 minutes.
  3. With an 2 tablespoons ice cream scoop, grab portions of the dough and place on a baking sheet, bake for 8 to 12 minutes, depending on your oven.
  4. Place the cookies on a rack to cool.

This recipe makes 24 cookies.

Choco-Caramel Bars Crunchy #SundaySupper

The #sundaysupper team had all crunchy delicious recipes to enjoy, and don’t think is only sweet, we made all kind of great food, of course the crunchy way.
Stick with us today and check all the recipes, I made for you this super crazy but delicious choco-caramel bars yep chocolate and caramel in one YUM! with a thin layer of crust to make it even more succulent.
I know this bar is going to be a new favorite in your house for now on.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 stick butter room temperature
  • 10 ounces of caramels any brand you want.
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 7 ounces chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 325° F.
  2. In a bowl mix the two flour, sugar, oats, and butter, until incorporate, place this mixture in a 8×8 pyrex and bake for 20 minutes.
  3. In the meant time melt the caramels with the water in a pan on low heat, and wait to the last 3 minutes to melt the chocolate.
  4. Once the base is ready, pour the melted caramels and then pour the chocolate on top, let this deliciousness cool completely before cut in to it.

This recipe makes 1 8×8 pyrex or about 20 bars.

Skinny Chocolate Almond Pudding for #SundaySupper

DSC_0812This week we have very healthy and delicious recipes that are all low in calories and fat.
So if you are looking for different and more healthy options you can not miss this #SundaySupper.
A variety of recipes, with which you will be much easier to maintain that healthy diet.
On this occasion I’ve made ​​a delicious chocolate dessert with almond butter, it is low in calories and fats, the most important thing is that these desserts are to be enjoyed without feeling any guilt.
Is a delicious mixture that you can not miss.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups of fat free half and half
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter
  • 2 ounces of good quality German chocolate
  • pinch of salt

DIRECTIONS

In a saucepan place the cocoa, sugar, cornstarch and half and half, stir well to dissolve the cornstarch.
Put the heat and stir constantly until thickened, about 3 minutes, remove from heat and add the almond butter and chocolate German, stir.
Place in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until completely cool.

To serve:
Place 1/4 of the mixture into glasses or small bowls.
You can substitute peanut butter or any other nut you prefer, remember to always take into account the difference in calories and fat in them.

This recipe makes 5 servings.
220 calories per serving.

CHOCOLATE ROLL FILLED WITH NUTELLA CREAM a Valentine’s #SundaySupper

DSC_0811-4What a beautiful season full of love and friendship while, so this week we are celebrating Valentine’s Day.
So the family of #SundaySupper want to invite you this valentines day and be inspired by recipes we have prepared with lots of love.
Delicious recipes that will delight even more in this day, let yourself go and make for your loved one something special and different.
The recipe that I prepared for you is precisely that very different and special chocolate roll with nutella cream, no one expects a nutella cream, the best of this cream is that it is also ideal for a sandwich, think of peanut butter, but with nutella, I think I’ll do one as I write, it is hard to avoid the temptation.
Well after that delicious dessert, again I invite you to join us this week, you might find the perfect choice for a night of love and of course friendship.

INGREDIENTS

For the Chocolate Roll:

  • 7 egg whites
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons pure cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter, melted

For the Nutella Cream:

  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup Nutella

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Line a tray with wax paper grease and flour the waxed paper.

To make the roll:
Place the egg whites in a stand mixer with a whisk attachment on medium speed, add the salt, cream of tartar and sugar gradually, beat until whites are doubled in size, remember that we are not making meringue, add butter and vanilla in a bowl sift flour and cocoa, remove the bowl from the mixer and add the flour and cocoa into the egg whites in 3 additions making smooth moves in a circle so that the whites do not lose volume.
Place the mixture in the tray and bake for 20 minutes.
Separately prepare a large piece of waxed paper sprinkled with powdered sugar, once the roll is ready let cool for 5 minutes, place on waxed paper and roll to shape it, let it cool completely.

For Nutella cream:
In a pot, place all ingredients, stir well, then bring to heat, stirring constantly until thickens, remove from heat, place in a bowl and let cool completely.

Once the two preparations are cool, unroll the roll and fill with the Nutella cream roll again, cut the edges of the roll and place more nutella cream on top, garnish with whipped cream and strawberries.

This recipe makes 14 servings.

CHOCOLATE CHIP CUT-OUT COOKIES Celebrating a One Year Anniversary of #SundaySupper

This is definitely a very special week for the family of #SundaSupper, as it is celebrating one year of sharing dinner around the family table.
For me personally it is an honor to be part of such a wonderful family and share the love of food that we all have.
To celebrate this event we chose recipes from different contributors that have this family, and believe me it was very difficult to choose among so many delicious and different cuisines.
After reviewing I chose a recipe that is not only easy to make and at the same time you can make this recipe with your children, and my children love to help for that reason I knew this is the perfect recipe. This recipe is originally from my colleague Carla of Chocolate Moosey and I personally recommend it, is simple and very delicious made ​​with ingredients you always have on hand, which is very important.
I hope you enjoy.

INGREDIENTS COOKIES
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg yolk
1 1/4 cups flour
3/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips

VANILLA BUTTERCREAM
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
Pinch of salt
1/4 tsp vanilla Sprinkles to decorate

CHOCOLATE GLAZE 
1/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

For the cookies: In a large bowl, beat together butter, both sugars, vanilla, and salt until creamy.
Beat in egg yolk. Gradually beat in flour then stir in chocolate chips.
Remove the dough from the bowl and place it between two sheets of plastic wrap.
Roll the dough flat until it is 1/4-inch thick.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour or until firm.
Line two cookie sheets with either silicone mats or parchment paper.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and remove the top layer of plastic wrap.
Cut into shapes and place shapes on the cookie sheets.
As you run out of dough to cut, gather up the dough scraps and reroll.
Repeat until all of the dough is used up.
Chill the cookie sheets in the refrigerator while you preheat the oven to 350F.
When the oven is ready, bake the cookies 9-11 minutes or until golden brown.
Let stand for 3 minutes then remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Vanilla buttercream. In a medium bowl, beat together sugar, butter and salt until creamy. Increase the speed to high and beat until creamy, 3-5 minutes.
Add vanilla and beat for another minute.
When the cookies are ready, decorate with sprinkles and buttercream

For the chocolate glaze
Place the chocolate chips in a plastic sandwich bag – do not seal.
Microwave for 45 seconds then knead until smooth. Squeeze all of the chocolate to one corner of the bag then make a small cut to the corner. Pipe the chocolate onto the cookies as desired. Let the chocolate harden before serving.

Preparation time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Cooking time: 9-10 minutes
Level of the recipe: Easy

SPOOKY MARSHMALLOWS

This is one of the favorite times of all children and many adults too, nothing better than Halloween. Many usually go to some activity or party, and on this occasion, I want to give you a different idea and very easy to do, to share with friends.
These delicious marshmallows will be the sensation of Halloween night between young and old. Also if you wish you can decorate and give as gifts at the end of the day.
Enjoy this day and give away homemade candy.

INGREDIENTS

  • 24 marshmallows
  • 6 ounces white chocolate
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped salted peanuts
  • Halloween colored sprinkles

DIRECTIONS

Place the semisweet chocolate and white chocolate in 2 bowls, place to melt in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until melted, about 3 times each of the chocolates.

Place a popsicle stick in the center of each marshmallow.

Pour the chocolate over the marshmallow and sprinkle with the topping.

Place on a tray lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 10 minutes.

This recipe makes 24 marshmallows decorated.

Deliciosa idea para disfrutar en la celebration de Halloween, en la cual tratamos de cambiar la forma en la regalamos dulces.

Estos marshmallows diferentes y deliciosos son la opción perfecta para llevar a una fiesta o incluso si los decora puede darlos como regalo al final del día.
Así que disfrute de esta receta súper practica y para ese día en el que lo único que hacemos es pensar en chocolate y mas chocolate.

Ok I bet right now you may be wondering why I did an ice cream recipe if already started the fall. Well to start let you know that this recipe is a creation of which I am very proud and around here we still have a very hot weather.
To spare the hassle of waiting for hours for the ice cream to be ready, it seemed important to create a recipe practical, easy, and with few ingredients, this week’s #SundaySupper family wants to give easy and delicious recipes with only 5 ingredients.
So come and enjoy the delicious recipes we have prepared for you, easy, delicious and as I mentioned before very easy.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams of semi sweet chocolate cut into chunks
  • 30 Caramels
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup nut topping
  • 1.5 qt of vanilla ice cream

DIRECTIONS

In a small saucepan, place caramels and whipping cream over low heat, stirring constantly until melted.

In a blender, place the frozen medium speed and gradually add the melted caramels, chocolate and topping.
Stir for 3 minutes.

Place in a container and freeze for 8 hours.

Serve and enjoy.

ALMOND COOKIES WITH WHITE CHOCOLATE

Delicious cookies that will delight your family.
Perfect for a snack after school or accompany the afternoon tea with these delicious cookies.
These cookies are a temptation, you can not eat just one.
So make and enjoy these cookies with milk, chocolate, coffee, tea or just alone.
I’m sure you will love them.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 cups of chopped almonds
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract
  • 1 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips
  • pinch of salt

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (176 degrees C).

In the mixer place the butter and brown sugar, beat until well incorporated. Add eggs, vanilla and almond extract. In a bowl sift together the flour, baking powder and salt, gradually add to the above mixture.

In a tray lined with parchment paper, place spoonfuls of the mixture and bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Once baked place on a rack to cool completely.
The cookies remain soft in the center.

This recipe makes 36 cookies.

PREPARACION

Precaliente el horno a 350 grados F (176 grados C ).

Agregue los huevos, vainilla, extracto y el almendra.
En un tazón cernir la harina, polvo de hornear y sal, agregue poco a poco a la mezcla anterior.

En una bandeja forrada con papel encerado, coloque cucharadas de la mezcla y hornee por 12 minutos o hasta que esten doradas.
Una vez horneadas coloque en una rejilla a que enfríen completamente.
Las galletas quedaran suaves en el centro.

De esta receta salen 36 galletas.

CHOCOLATE CHEESE TURNOVERS A #SundaySupper With the Kids

 I love cooking with my daughters and this week at #SundaySupper we are encouraging children to enter the kitchen.

 The more time you spend helping a child in the kitchen they will want to try more things, new vegetables, meats and even the most unusual meals that you can imagine.
 Let your kids come into this wonderful world full of flavor, fun and learning and you will be helping them to expand the knowledge and palate.
 Children are very curious and we must not leave them behind in anything, help them and teach them that food is as healthy delicious and fun that is.
 This is one of the favorite recipes of my daughter, the only thing the she does not do is put these turnovers in the oven, because it still scares me a little, for the rest, she is quite a teacher, and what she loves most is lick her fingers filled with chocolate and cream cheese.
 Hope you like and try to make these turnovers with your children.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • Juice of half lemon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of water
  • 1/4 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 Ready to bake sheets of Puff Pastry

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven at 400 degrees F.
In a bowl mix the cream cheese, lemon juice and sugar until everything is well incorporated.
Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into squares.
Place a teaspoon of cream cheese in the center of the piece of dough fold in half and then press the edges with a fork so that the filling does not come out while baking.

Beat egg and water with a fork and brush the turnovers with a pastry brush.
Bake for 10 minutes, when they are ready remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool completely.

To decorate with the chocolate, place the heavy cream in the microwave and heat for 20 seconds, in separate bowl place the chocolate, add half of the heavy cream each one and stir until completely melted, decorate as you like.

This recipe makes 12 turnovers.
